association for hawaii and this is the part of the agency that helped us coordinate the medical response part of this. they were able to conduct a 50-bed disaster medical assistance team hospital on the island of oahu and this allowed the state of hawaii to be able to exercise their state-wide disaster drill. one of the things that hawaii has never been able to do is to be able to practice together in one live exercise. they have all of their processes, how they're going to respond in a local disaster situation, but they have never been able to really put that to use. and being able to partner with us during the rimpac exercise offered them the opportunity to do that. we also had a lot of civil military interaction by us providing a lot of capability for them to be able to exercise their disaster plan as well. you see some patients here in the moulage. they were able to moulage and fake wounds and put triage information on over 125 casualty actor patients. and we were able to triage them tlau that 50-bed hospital system in hawaii and then they were evacuated to area hospitals for the state of

the coast of hawaii. so everybody was affected because of that. in mexico, for instance, the variation of time was 1 1/2 meters. as you can see there, when that happened, 3.34, immediately we have different waves. the high of that wave was at about 50 meters but one hour after that in one place we start having waves of 30 meters. a happened in the island of guata after that, 7:00 in the morning we are still having different waves at different places in the coast arriving every 30 minutes and the average high was about 15 meters, which is a lot. another massive effect was that the south american plate jumped over nafka plate, or nafka plate gets down. we moved 3 meters to the west and at the same time we lift up at about 3 meters in certain areas. so navy -- this is very important because in some places where you are supposed to get into with your ships, not any more. so a hydrographic survey, certain port was absolutely mandatory when you have this event. i said to the australian staff, because of that we are closer neighbors right now. here you can see an example that was be

here today to tell you about an exercise we conducted this past summer in hawaii as part of rim of pacific exercise which involved 22 participating nations and this offered us a venue to be able to conduct a humanitarian and disaster relief exercise with all the different partners that we had together and collaborating with this exercise, this offered a perfect opportunity for us to introduce the military capabilities and interaction in exchange with our civil military partners as well. the exercise was located on oh oahu we had used that island as a fictitious island of chianti where we wanted to do a humanitarian response but it also provided us an avenue for the state-wide partners, the civil hawaiian partners, to be able to exercise their exercise as well. this exercise also allowed us the opportunity to intro daus a lot of technology to help with the interoperatability of the civil military exercise. one of the main goals that we had for this was to allow our military a crisis response adaptive force package and opportunity to allow their training and certification in providin

see on the satellite it's exploding across parts of the north part of hawaii. this is the pineapple express that will slide along the jet stream. around this time, we will look at heavy rain across the bay area and flash flooding will be a concern tomorrow. all of the rivers and creeks will be rising through the day tomorrow and it will make for treacherous travel. to break it down, 1 to three inches of rain for everybody. getting up into the mountains. wind gusts tomorrow and gust being 60 miles per hour. up into the mountain, gusts up to 100 miles per hour especially in the tahoe area. this will be a very strong system when it moves through. tonight here's the appetizer. 8:00 this evening, the showers begin and they don't let up until tomorrow after 9:00 or 10:00. 6:00 in the morning, the shower guess through santa rosa and napa and txe south bay by 10:00. by tomorrow afternoon, we are done with the rainfall. we have been telling you about the rivers, we have the russian river at 24 feet right now. it is expected to crest on monday near 34 feet and that is just shy of a moderate f

all this tropical moisture all the way from hawaii to san francisco and the bay area. now we have the next batch of moisture their will move around the bottom or the base of this trough of low pressure right into the bay area about this time tomorrow. so tomorrow night and most of the day on sunday, is going to be a soaker but that's the last batch moving through. we have been numbering them and that will be round three. how much rainfall? you're probably wondering because it's a lot of puddles outside your house. there will be a lot more after sunday evening. all of the areas colored in purple will likely get an additional 2" of rainfall. not purple, it's red and yellow to the north. north bay mountains and north bay itself. solano, marin county you could see 2 to 4" or more of additional rainfall coming up saturday night into sunday. so the next 24 hours, not completely dry. but just some scattered showers out there. so we'll call it on-and-off showers through the day on saturday. saturday night, here comes the final round of heavy rainfall most of sunday soggy. we finally get a
